Behavior

Children in grade 2nd B are mostly students with good behavior and a desire to learn. Some of them do not like English classes because they consider the pronunciation of words complicated. Most of them follow the instructions and enjoy working on the proposed activities, although there is a small group that is distracted and regularly generates disorder in the classroom. This small group of children is more willing to participate in activities that require the projection of audiovisual resources.

Academic scaffolding

Academically, students in grade 2nd B have difficulties in different areas so they require help to carry out the activities. Most of them found it difficult to get back into school after the pandemic. Regarding the subject of English, the management of vocabulary is very basic for your degree and pronunciation is an aspect that becomes difficult for many when it is required to do it individually. A favorable aspect is the way in which the group of children responds when using audiovisual resources for the development of the classes, as they are more willing to participate.

The Institución Educativa Departamental Externado Mixto de San Sebastián (INSEDES) is located in the municipality of San Sebastián de Buenavista, department of Magdalena. Its main headquarters are located at Calle 3 No. 8 - 36 Plaza el Suán. It is a school with a large area that has adequate spaces for students to develop their learning process comfortably.                              The main headquarters of the institution has 28 classrooms, equipped with the basic implements necessary to serve a student population. Although most of the classrooms are part of the first constructions of the institution, it is worth noting the effort that the administration has been making to improve its infrastructure day by day. My School History _ Institución Educativa Departamental Externado Mixto de San Sebastián.

  The Colegio Mixto de Bachillerato was created by ordinance number 26 of December 1969 , emanating from the Asamblea Departamental, Governor Dr. Clemente Díaz Granados Caballero. On July 22, 1970, academic work began at the Escuela Urbana de Varones (today IED ALFONSO LÓPEZ), with the first year of high school, through operating License number 150 issued by the Secretaría de Educación Departamental. In 1971, License Number 002 authorized the 2nd, 3 rd , and 4th grades of baccalaureate, for the years 1971, 1972, and 1973. In the month of January 1971, the College moved to where it currently operates (on the land of the old agricultural farm). Its first rector was Dr. Joaquín De la Peña Urbina, who served for three months as rector Ad-honorem, replaced by the priest Saúl García De la Ossa and as secretary, Ernesto Garrido Amador, who also served as a teacher along with 5 other classmates.
